This role is mine. I take the first call, answer questions as they arrive, and keep a written note of what your family has already dealt with, so you never have to tell the story twice. If a question belongs with an attorney or an accountant, I say so straight away rather than guessing at an answer.
Home Care Coordinator
This is the person for the physical side of an empty house in the early weeks. Locks and keys, mail that needs holding, heat and water left running through a cold month, a lawn that is starting to show, and a set of eyes on the place every so often. Nothing is arranged without your say so, and nothing is removed from the home.
Paperwork Guide
A steady hand for the documents. Rather than handing you a long list, this person helps you build one folder of what you already have and one short list of what is still missing, so that when you do sit down with an attorney the meeting is quick and the bill is small.
